In short, a doula is like a tour guide for the entirety of the perinatal period. What that means is we come equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to help you during your journey, all while providing evidence based resources and connections for care. Doulas come with many benefits such as:

: ̗̀➛ Higher likelihood to initiate and continue breast or chestfeeding
: ̗̀➛ Lower occurrences of preterm birth or low birth weight
: ̗̀➛ Decreased risk of Postpartum Depression

Doula support has three to four essential pillars for our care, these pillars being Emotional Support, Informational or Educational Support, Physical Support, and Advocacy. While my job as your doula is not to tell you what is right or wrong, or to speak over/for you - my job IS to empower you to make the most educated and confident decisions possible for you and your growing family. If unheard, I will echo your concerns and choices as needed to ensure the power remains in your hands at all times. This package includes:
: ̗̀➛ 2 Prenatal Meetings to discuss goals, create a birth plan, and build a relationship
: ̗̀➛ 24/7 Access to Me for any questions or concerns that may arise
: ̗̀➛ On call support at 38-42 weeks from myself and a trusted backup doula as needed
: ̗̀➛ In person Support during active labor, birth, and up to 2 hours Postpartum
: ̗̀➛ 1 Postpartum Follow Up Visit to help with housework, adjustment, and navigation of the Fourth Trimester
